AI LITERACY TRAINING
Cut through the hype. Equip your team with a practical, nuanced understanding of AI—how it works, where it fails, and how to use it responsibly.
Making AI easier to understand is an important step in creating or using effective and profitable tools. Yet, most trainings are either too technical or too simple to help us deepen our understanding of AI. My trainings are different! I will teach how AI learns, how it uses data and how human design choices influence the outcome.
My workshops and trainings help the data science team (the "techies") and, well, everyone else - talk more easily about how to collectively develop AI. I make sure to explain things clear enough for beginners, while maintaining technical depth required to meaningfully discuss AI concepts. We will touch on how to make sure AI is effective, responsible and legal.
We will go beyond the shallow hype jargon, and focus on what matters:
How AI really works (without oversimplifying)
Where and how it fails (and how to spot those risks)
How to use it thoughtfully (in your work and life)
Clear enough for beginners,
deep enough for experts
AI isn't magic, it's math, data and human choices
Understanding AI should be insightful, not intimidating
WHY IMPROVE AI LITERACY?
Article 4 - EU AI Act
In February 2025, the EU AI Act has come into force with the first set of obligations, starting with getting your staff AI literate. My trainings are shaped to be in compliance with the obligations set out in the EU AI Act and upcoming CEN/CENELEC standards.
"Providers and deployers of AI systems shall take measures to ensure, to their best extent, a sufficient level of AI literacy of their staff and other persons dealing with the operation and use of AI systems on their behalf."
WHO IS IT FOR?
AI literacy is important for everyone, but it isn't one-size-fits-all. Whether you're an executive needing strategic understanding, a developer implementing systems, or a team navigating AI tools, my trainings meet you where you are—with the right depth for your role. As both a mathematician and AI regulation and standards expert, I translate complex concepts into relevant knowledge for every part of your organization.
Company wide sessions
How does AI learn from data and how is it different to rule-based systems? What are the common pitfalls to avoid? How to responsibly use AI? The course covers technical foundations such as backpropagation, all the way to real-life use and impact.
Techies and legal teams
Strategy and leadership
Legal frameworks set the rules for AI, but it's tricky to turn principles like 'non-discrimination' into real-world testing protocols. AI literacy training can address this by providing a shared vocabulary for tech and legal professionals. Participants will learn to translate vague requirements into practical actions like statistical parity checks or designing audit trails.
For founders and executives shaping AI strategy: Learn to separate real innovation from overpromises. I’ll arm you with probing questions to ask vendors, red flags in technical claims, and frameworks to evaluate AI’s true business impact—so you can invest wisely and lead confidently

Irma helped us define the legal and mathematical aspects of non-discrimination in AI in the context of recruitment. We found great value in her robust knowledge of both the regulation and the technical aspects of the issue, and her fresh and always engaging perspectives. Plus, she’s fun to work with!
